Dub Box

Too Cute! That’s the first impression you’ll get when you take a look at the Dub box. It’s a surfer’s dream trailer. The Dub Box Trailer is a retro-style camping trailer that is designed to evoke the classic look and feel of the 1950s and 60s-era camper trailers.

The Dub Box resembles a 1960’s style Volkswagen Bus. There are two styles of Dub Box trailers, the Dub Box Adventure and the Dinky Dub. As you can imagine, the Dinky Dub is slightly smaller. The Dinky Dub trailer has a sleeper area while the Dinky Dub II has a sleeper and kitchen. Both Dinky Dubs have a sleeper area that converts into a dinette.

The Dub Box Adventure is slightly larger and offers more features. It offers a dinette that converts into a bed, a small kitchen, and an outdoor shower. A portable toilet is an added option. You can also order it with a Fiamma awning for an additional cost.

Both campers have a pop-up top to make them stand in height.

Little Guy MyPod (Little Guy Trailers)

Little Guy MyPod is a compact and lightweight travel trailer produced by Little Guy Trailers. It is designed for those who are looking for a convenient and comfortable camping solution.

Like the Bean trailer, the Little Guy MyPod is a teardrop-style trailer. It’s super lightweight, coming in with a dry weight of a remarkable 840 pounds. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to tow and maneuver.

This is one of the few molded-fiberglass trailers that you can easily tow with a small car. The Armadillo comes in several fun colors, like white, silver, black, blue, or red.

The MyPod is essentially just a bed inside, but you can add an attached rear tent for a larger water-proof living area.

While it’s not made its debut quite yet, you can sign up to get on the mailing list pending the launch date.

MeerKat (Little Guy Trailers)

Another little compact trailer is the MeerKat. What sets the Meerkat Little Guy apart from the competition is its compact size and lightweight design. Northern Lite Boreal 27FB (concept)

Northern Lite is known for manufacturing high-quality, lightweight truck campers. Recently, they introduced a concept trailer that has taken the molded-fiberglass community by storm.

At 23 feet in length, The Boreal 27FB will rival the 25-foot Bigfoot trailer and the Escape 23 for size. Like the Bigfoot B25 and the Escape 23, the Boreal will have a walk-around queen. With the pull-out sofa, this trailer will sleep four.

There will be ample room in the kitchen and a large amount of counter space. In the rear, you’ll find a sizable dry bathroom.

This is a trailer that I’m really looking forward to seeing, and I’m sure you will be too.

Outback Trailers

Outback Trailers filled the void when Trillium Recreational Vehicles went out of business. The Trillium trailer was one of the original molded-fiberglass trailers built in the 1970s.

The Outback Trillium trailers are built with a two-piece, molded-fiberglass shell. Coming in at 1450 lbs. dry weight, the Outback can be towed with a smaller, fuel-efficient vehicle.

The Outback has everything you need, a dinette that converts into a bed and a kitchen, all in a compact design. You can order your Outback trailer with a bed and a dinette. Outback no longer offers the Trillium bath model.

In order to keep the trailer 4-season ready, Outback provides a 15-gallon exterior grey water tank and an 11-gallon freshwater tank that is inside the trailer.

If you’re looking for a retro-style compact molded-fiberglass camper, the Outback might just be for you.

L’Air Camper Company

Another company that stepped in when Trillium folded is the L’Air Camper Company. Like Outback, L’Air makes a compact travel trailer that offers three floor plans, the Heritage Standard, the Heritage Bunk, and the Heritage Bath.

All plans have a dinette that converts into a bed and a compact kitchen. However, the Heritage Standard offers an additional dinette so that you can leave one dinette up full-time or have sleeping space for three people.

The Heritage Bunk offers bunk beds in lieu of the second, smaller dinette. And the Heritage Bath offers a wet bath with a shower and cassette toilet in place of the bunk bed or small dinette.

Snoozy II

If you’re looking for a lightweight, aerodynamic trailer, I have another one for you. Snoozy purports itself to be the most aerodynamic trailer on the market. The owner of the company told me that they have done wind tunnel tests. He said that the Snoozy II is more aerodynamic than an Airstream!

For you, less wind resistance means that the trailer is easier to maneuver and uses less fuel. The Snoozy II has an interesting and unique design in that the door is on the rear of the trailer. When you step inside, you’ll appreciate the wood-grain finish. Instead of using fiberglass for the cabinets like some of the smaller campers do, Snoozy use beautiful red oak for the cabinets. It makes for a very homey feel.

The trailer offers a small bar-type area with a sink and a dorm-style 110v refrigerator, a lounge area with a moveable table, either an RV queen bed or twin beds, and a small bath with a cassette toilet.
